For the cultural year of China in Italy promoted by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, IGAV (Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive, Turin), UCCA (Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing), Triennale Design Museumand the Regional Directorate for Cultural and Landscape Assets of Piedmontpresent a varied program in the two spaces of the MINI&Triennale CreativeSet in the Triennale Design Museum of Milan and Palazzo Chiablese in Turin. China New Design, curated by Jérôme Sansand Cui Quiao,is the first event in the series, offering a selection of the most interesting works by Chinese contemporary designers, seen in many cases for the first time in Italy. The project is not only about design; its true theme is the culture of the younger generations in China, a variegated panorama from furniture design to new forms of communication, from fashion to jewelry, graphics to multimedia, complements to objects.
