Porro&C, at Palazzo Durini (via Santa Maria Valle, 2), presents a sale of pieces by Venini. From the start of the 1920s this famous glassworks from Murano has been a part of the development of the Italian decorative arts, renewing production techniques through the experimentation of master craftsmen and brilliant artists and designers. The catalogue offers an exceptional selection of one-offs, prototypes and works of the most important architects and designers, including Ettore Sottsass, Gae Aulenti, Tadao Ando, Mario Bellini and Alessandro Mendini, Rodolfo Dordoni and the Campana brothers. The sale also features objects of great quality from the historic production of Venini, with vases and sculptures by the great inventors who have been the art directors of the firm, from Napoleone Marinuzzi to Carlo Scarpa, Tomaso Buzzi to Gio Ponti, Fulvio Bianconi to Toni Zuccheri. The objects will be on display from 18 to 22 May.
