The appointments of the “Barbara Cappochin” Architecture Biennialcontinue. The theme of sustainable renewal of our cities is the leitmotiv for a cycle of conferences, on 23 and 30 January (Caffè Pedrocchi – sala Rossini, 16.30), and 13 February(University of Padua – Aula Magna Galilei, 15.30). The goal is to remind the authorities and experts of the urgency of offering citizens concrete solutions for the improvement of urban public spaces, while stimulating the political world to make a commitment, also in economic terms, to the creation of the city of the future: sustainable, intelligent, inclusive. Projects of urban regeneration will be narrated in three master classes conducted by outstanding European and international architects: Alejandro Zaera Polo(AZPA/FOA, London), Pietro Valle (Studio Valle Architetti Associati, Milan and Udine), Josè Louis Vallejoand Belinda Tato(Ecosistema Urbano, Madrid). There will also be more technical talks by Matthias Schuler(professor at Harvard and CEO of Transsolar Energie Technik, Stuttgart), Federico Parolotto(Mobility In Chain, Milan), Maria Berrini(Istituto di Ricerche Ambiente Italia), Marina Dragotto(general coordinator of AUDIS), Joseph Acebillo(AS-Architectural System and professor at the Academy of Mendrisio, Switzerland), Alain Philip(vice-mayor and alderman of urban planning of the City of Nice, France). The cycle of events concludes on Monday 13 Februarywith a multidisciplinary round table on the theme of the sustainable development of cities, chaired by the president of the National Council of Architects Leopoldo Freyrieand by Andrea Boschettiof Metrogramma. Participants include the architect Mario Cuccinella,  an expert on sustainability, Franco Alberti,of the Urban Planning Division of the Veneto Region, Edoardo Zanchini, vice-president of Legambiente, the aldermen of the City of Padua Luisa Boldrin (Public Works) and Ivo Rossi (Mobility).
