The Nomos table by Tecno, the first product of industrial design designed by Foster + Partners, is the protagonist of the exhibition Craft + Manufacture in London at the prestigious Aram Gallery until 2 July.

Nomos is part of the exhibition organized by the design team of Foster + Partners, gathering furnishings, solutions and products developed over the years, from the first sketch of the table in 1981: prototypes, photographs and finished products narrate the history of the London-based studio and its all-around design approach.

Created in 1986, with its structure conceived as a solid skeleton with a zoomorphic appearance, the table is an icon of industrial design which received the Compasso d’Oro ADI award in 1987.

Nomos adapts to multiple uses, from individual offices to group workstations. The structure in metal tubing and aluminium can be combined with different tops: besides tempered glass, which particularly highlights the design, the unit comes in laminate, stone and cement. The structure can have the traditional chrome finish, or comes in white, lead gray, and elegant shiny black nickel.
