The Ak_04 kitchen by Arrital, designed in collaboration with Franco Driusso, has won three awards: the Interior Innovation Award, assigned by the German Design Counsil, during Imm Cologne 2012, and two Good Design Awards 2012from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in the categories: Corporate Identity Program and Kitchen.The AK_04 is the result of a project that pursues aesthetic lightness, thanks to slender parts used to make the doors. The panels are just 6 mm thick, applied to an elegant aluminium frame with built-in handle, permitting a wide range of chromatic solution of refined design. They come in sheared thermo-treated oak, Corian, matte and glossy lacquer, and Paperstone (in the image), the innovative material totally derived from recycled paper. The AK_04 stands out for its modular compositions, including new 75 and 105 cm modules.
