A modern ark that seems to float on the water: this will be the image of the new building of Gruppo CAP, in charge of the water supply of the metropolitan area of Milan.

An open building inspired by water, also in its interior design, for a concept that fully expresses the mission of the company.

This idea sums up the project thanks to which the studio Cleaa – Claudio Lucchin & architetti associati of Bolzano won the international competition for the design of the new headquarters of Gruppo CAP.

The competition was launched in January, with the aim of bringing together the different facilities of the group, presently located on Via Rimini in Milan and Via del Mulino in Assago.

A single structure of 11,250 m2 on 6 levels, providing different types of offices, laboratories, a cafe, an auditorium for 200 persons, a gallery and a corporate daycare facility.

Designed to contain over 400 employees, the project by Studio Cleaa underscores the public nature of Gruppo CAP in a primarily residential area, eliminating boundaries and permitting immediate entry.

The social character of the group is also reflected in a precise energy plan, based on choices that make the new facility eligible for LEED Gold certification as a sustainable building.
