Eataly, with the Ministry for Cultural Assets and Activities, has financed an important operation of safeguarding that makes it possible to introduce about 10,000 cubic meters of new clean air every day inside the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie, as opposed to about 3500 in the previous arrangement; an operation that will allow more visitors to admire the Last Supper, while extending the life of the painting by Leonardo for another 500 years.

According to the scientific commission that has supervised the operation, there has been a progressive increase of 33% in the number of annual visitors (420,000), with a final increment of 126,000. Therefore Eataly, after having ‘adopted’ a spire of the cathedral of Milan, also supports the museum of the Cenacolo Vinciano in the protection and enhancement of one of the world’s most important and famous works of art.
