Fattobene presents a book that is a voyage through Italian industrial history through iconic objects.

The volume – edited by Anna Lagorio and Alex Carnevali – features a selection of 35 companies that together with their products have crossed two World Wars intact, and continue to make their goods with the same care as in the past.

These well-made objects are narrated in the book using archival material most of which have never been published elsewhere: photographs, postcards, prototypes, advertising posters that document the evolution of graphic design and tastes during the course of the 20th century.

All the selected objects are still in production and represent a tribute to the great classics of anonymous design that have made (and continue to make) the history of our country.

The book in Italian and English has introductions by Stefano Salis and Giulio Iacchetti.
