Whirlpool and Indesit Group have presented, in Rome, the new built-in appliances for 2016 in the new brand portfolio, all based on the concept Uniquely at home.
The brands of the largest player in Italy and Europe in the appliance sector consolidate their DNA and express their specific qualities. Whirlpool is identified by its technological values and avant-garde design, Hotpoint by its distinctive style interfaced with everyday life, Indesit by its rational practicality and Ignis for the ability to always offer a suitable solution with a simple approach.
Regarding the process of integration still under way between Whirlpool and Indesit, Andrea Riggio, Marketing Director for Italy of Whirlpool Group and Indesit Group, says: “The two companies have a positive influence on each other, and greater capitalization will inevitably lead to more investment. In addition, each production plant will stand out for an area of specialization. Cassinetta will concentrate the production of ovens and refrigerators for the whole of Europe, while the Melano site will be for the production of ranges.”
“Italy,” Riggio continues, “will still have a central role. The factories in our country, in fact, produce six million appliances, equal to 30% of what is sold in Europe, and two-thirds of kitchen production is also concentrated in Italy.”
