Starpool creates the spa of a new mountain lodge entirely made in local stone, at an altitude of over 2700 meters

The new Sunny Valley Mountain Lodge at Santa Caterina Valfurva is one of the few ‘ski-in/ski-out’ hotels, directly along a ski trail at an altitude of 2775 meters. It can also be reached by cableway.

The project has been organized by the owner Beppe Bonseri in collaboration with the studio Lebensraum Home Interiors for the interior design.

The construction of the lodge began in 2007, and involved the work of a team of artisans from Valtellina and a Sami group, true artists in the craftsmanship of wood from Finland.

The sustainable construction is in local stone and Lappish kelo, with the addition of larch shingles for the roof.

The result is a refined mountain lodge with 11 suites facing the surrounding mountains through large windows.

The elegantly furnished rooms combine the charm of age-old wood with the comfort of the finest contemporary design, all with an accent on natural and ecosustainable materials.

The wellness area is an elegant spa of over 250 m2 for which Starpool has developed the entire layout concept.

The protagonist is the GlamourCollection designed by Cristiano Mino: the Sauna and Steam units have both been chosen in the black version .

Outside, the facility features the highest Kelo Sauna in the world and special igloo-hotels with beds of snow, transforming snowy areas into real suites.
