The campaign of support for contemporary art has been created and promoted by Amaci – the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums, with its 27 members, following the cuts for culture included in the governments 2011 budget. Eleven Italian artists have signed the petition and provided images for this “manifesto”: Carla Accardi, Stefano Arienti, Maurizio Cattelan, Enzo Cucchi, Marisa Merz, Luigi Ontani, Giulio Paolini, Mimmo Paladino, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Paola Pivi and Francesco Vezzoli.
