Completed in just 18 months, the new Manifattura Bulgari in Valenza (AL) designed by Open Project is a reference point in Italy’s most famous jewelry district.

The headquarters encloses a very elegant courtyard, enhanced by the design of the facades by Schüco Italia in collaboration with the partner Stahlbau Pichler.

Built over the footprint of the house of the first goldsmith of Valenza, the facility stands out for the elegant image of its exterior, combining style and technology in a balanced synthesis.

Next to the historic building, reconstructed in its original style and expanded with a completely transparent structure, the Manifattura becomes a true meeting point of aesthetics and efficiency, combining high-tech productive functions with an elegant image, in line with the stylistic values of the brand.

The large courtyard features natural materials like wood, stone and glass. The perimeter space is surrounded on all sides by a metal “skin.”

For the design of the facades and the window frames, the choice went to the technical quality and high performance of sustainable Schüco Italia systems.

The facades of the inner court were made with the Schüco FW 60 system in aluminium (overall surface of about 500 m2), ideal for the installation of single and double chamber glass, and featuring slim sections that give an elegant filigree image to the facades.

The openings in the outer facades (about 1000 m2 in all) were made with a series of Schüco AWS 75.SI (Super Insulation) windows, with modular thermal break aluminium frames, which with a depth of just 75-85 mm stand out for their sober exposed sections, combined with thermal and acoustic performance meeting the highest standards in this sector.
