During Brussels Design SeptemberADAM – Brussels Design Museum celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Componibili, the modular furnishings designed in 1967 by Anna Castelli Ferrieri.

 

Absolutely innovative in the 1960s for the modular design and the material – ABS – these furnishings can adapt to any context, meeting the needs of life today as they did in the past.

 

The exhibition produced in collaboration with the Kartell Museum narrates the story of the Componibili, and the way this modular furniture has interpreted interior design and new taste trends, from the 1960s to the present.

 

 

The show includes personal interpretations of the Componibili by Ron Arad, Mario Bellini, Antonio Citterio, Ferruccio Laviani, Piero Lissoni, Alberto Meda, Alessandro Mendini, Nendo, Fabio Novembre, Philippe Starck, Patricia Urquiola, Tokujin Yoshioka, Emilio Pucci and Missoni.

New versions will also be presented by the Belgian designers Xavier Lust Unfold and Muller Van Severen.
