The Portale dell'aQCua on the ski trails of Courmayeur/Mont Blanc

1 February – 20 March 2018
Data Pubblicazione: 1 February 2018

Nature meets contemporary art, generating the highest artwork in Italy: Portale dell’aQCua, an installation on water created by Matteo Ragni.

The project starts with the goal of communicating the values of QC Terme through art: to convey a state of total wellness, in a surprising context like that of a mountain peak.

The portal is composed of mirror-finish metal arches, where the landscape is incorporated in a game of overlaps between the figure of the visitor and the surrounding nature. Lights enhance the sensory experience of the wall of water, which suggests the relaxing atmosphere of the hot springs spa.

Reached only on skis, the small work of architecture is located in a unique landscape: it reflects the heights of Mont Blanc, for a spectacular effect at 2024 meters above sea level.
