The Onde collection by Mosaico+ for the swimming pool of the Twiga Beach Club, inspired by the theme of the giraffe
Data Pubblicazione: 10 August 2017

Immersed in the greenery of canebrakes, the white of bamboo gazebos and Kenyan cots, the mosaic surface of the salt-water swimming pool of the Twiga Beach Club made by Mosaico+ is based on the theme of the ‘giraffe.’

The undulated but compact surfaces of the Onde collection contribute to transform the pool into an iridescent body of water, with light refracted in the bright colors of red and orange of the tiles, for an effect of surprising luminosity.

Agave

The collection created by the collaboration between Ethimo and Mattia Albicini in the exceptional setting of the Hotel Parco dei Principi of Sorrento, designed in 1962 by Gio Ponti
Data Pubblicazione: 8 August 2017

Agave, the outdoor collection of tables and seating by Ethimo based on the sinuous lines of the leaves of the agave plant, also suggests unusual interpretations to enhance interiors.

An exceptional setting hosts the new image of Agave: Hotel Parco dei Principi in Sorrento, one of the world’s first design hotels, created by Gio Ponti in 1962.

The location reflects the exclusive character of the collection. Hotel Parco dei Principi of Sorrento becomes a stage to underline the links between the design of Agave and the architecture of the context.

In Milan, on Via Rimini, the new building for the companies of Gruppo CAP

Innovative design inspired by water and energy savings for LEED Gold certification
Data Pubblicazione: 8 August 2017

A modern ark that seems to float on the water: this will be the image of the new building of Gruppo CAP, in charge of the water supply of the metropolitan area of Milan.

An open building inspired by water, also in its interior design, for a concept that fully expresses the mission of the company.

This idea sums up the project thanks to which the studio Cleaa – Claudio Lucchin & architetti associati of Bolzano won the international competition for the design of the new headquarters of Gruppo CAP.

The competition was launched in January, with the aim of bringing together the different facilities of the group, presently located on Via Rimini in Milan and Via del Mulino in Assago.

A single structure of 11,250 m2 on 6 levels, providing different types of offices, laboratories, a cafe, an auditorium for 200 persons, a gallery and a corporate daycare facility.

Designed to contain over 400 employees, the project by Studio Cleaa underscores the public nature of Gruppo CAP in a primarily residential area, eliminating boundaries and permitting immediate entry.

The social character of the group is also reflected in a precise energy plan, based on choices that make the new facility eligible for LEED Gold certification as a sustainable building.

Montbel has great international appeal, and has been chosen by restaurants, large hotel chains and cruise ships: 90% of its sales are exports
Data Pubblicazione: 3 August 2017

90% of the sales of Montbel are exports: almost three million chairs produced, about 70,000 per year, entirely in Italy, made with fine craftsmanship and quality, to add inimitable Italian style to the world’s most prestigious hotels, restaurants and cruise ships.

The company based in the Manzano chair district and founded in 1959 by Silvano Montina operates in the contract market, in over 50 different countries.

Recently, together with two other Friuli-based companies, Midj and Piaval, Montbel presented its creations in London with the new network The Italian Concept, an incubator that sets out to catch the interest of English architects and designers, relying on the force of Made in Italy.

Architects are interested in the possibilities of customization of products in terms of finishes and compositions. This is precisely one of the strong points of Montbel, with a very wide range of solutions (1,600,000 possible combinations of fabrics, finishes, colors, structures, heights, etc.).

Fine craftsmanship is enhanced by the creative contribution of Italian and international designers like Sam Baron, Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri, Edi & Paolo Ciani, Antonio Minervini, Enzo Berti.

In 2016 Montbel’s sales reach a level of 6.5 million euro, with particular gains in the area of five-star hotels and seagoing interiors.
