Flexform in Manila

Data Pubblicazione: 30 October 2017

Flexform has opened a flagship store in Manila in the emerging Makati Bel Air district, an area that is fast becoming a hub of reference for high-end Italian design.

The building designed by Eduardo Calma stands out for its geometric lines with a deconstructed approach: a rigorous metal structure lightened by widespread use of glass panels.

The prestigious facility has an area of about 800 m2 on two levels, entirely set aside for the display of the most representative products of the Flexform collection.

The showroom is based on the concept presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, giving rise to a particularly elegant and sophisticated atmosphere.

Milano Six

An original project that combines different, complementary creative aspects: a design gallery, bistro and flower shop
Data Pubblicazione: 25 October 2017

The Six Gallery, the Sixième bistro and the Irene greenery design boutique are organized around an unexpected courtyard, close to the Darsena (docks) area in Milan.

The striking location is an intimate, secret spot behind a large entrance door on Via Scaldasole, with a vecchia Milano courtyard featuring tropical vegetation.

The patio is faced by balcony walkways and large arched openings, in a building from the 1500s that was once a monastery.

The renovation has removed the layers of plaster from the interiors, revealing the pattern of the bricks while also uncovering the original floors.

Six is the result of an idea of the entrepreneur Mauro Orlandelli to make “a holistic container where the result would be greater than the sum of its parts.”

Together with him, the art director Samuele Savio and the architects David Lopez Quincoces and Fanny Bauer Grung have created the overall configuration.

The musician Sergio Carnevale (together with Nic Cester of the Australian band Jet) has focused on the food venue, while landscape designer Irene Cuzzaniti has introduced a floral touch with her landscape studio.
