In the heart of historic Turin, at 12 Via Pietro Micca, the new facility of the Museo del Design joins the main one in None, at the gates of the city.

The displays confirm the museum’s identity as a gallery of industrial design, with educational impact for a wide audience of design lovers. There are special monthly workshops for kids, for a playful approach to the most important aspects of design and the form-function relationship.

Iconic pieces from design history – the table clocks Cronotime by Pio Manzù and Optic by Joe Colombo – are joined by everyday objects, coffeemakers and teakettles, tableware and flatware, clothespins and the Tratto pen.

There is also a special focus on tools of communication, in the wider sense of the term, including Olivetti typewriters, Brionvega television sets and the Stet telephone.
