Studio Urquiola has redesigned the Kettal showroom in the center of Barcelona, with the aim of bringing out the specific character of the brand, creating a space that is a tribute to Mediterranean outdoor living.

Typical Spanish architectural features include the iron structure and the original brick ceiling vaults, exposed and emphasized, along with traditional characteristics like the courtyard and the use of ceramic tiles.

Taking advantage of the double height of the space, to unify the two levels the added architectural features inserted to identify the different zones are three boxes, each with a different form and function: screen, display surface, enclosure of the courtyard.

The rectangular form on different scales and in different guises repeats throughout the showroom, revealing the touch of Patricia Urquiola, while the addition of colors, textures and a playful approach create a space that reflects the identity of Kettal.
