Giorgetti, with Agnona, presents the Progetti Fashion collection: the third interpretation of the historic Progetti chairs
Data Pubblicazione:

With Progetti Fashion, design meets styling in a new vision of the home featuring fabrics.

In this contaminationGiorgetti has worked with Agnona, famous for research on fine fabrics and painstaking handiwork in bespoke creations, to approach Progetti Fashion in three different variations.

The interplay of fashion and interior design details leads to the Katori shearling model, and the finely woven leather of Twist.

Cashmere is the fabric for Kamet, in a two-tone design, enhanced by cabochon details that evoke the image of precious stones.

This is the last chapter of Progetti 30, to celebrate the 30th birthday of the Progetti collection by Giorgetti.

Three original interpretations of the seating line launched in 1987: Progetti Pure, Progetti Sense and Progetti Fashion.

The first, Progetti Pure, by Umberto Asnago, was presented during Art Basel Miami 2016: the iconic forms of the original collection have been lightened in terms of volume to enhance the beech structure, while cowhide becomes a pure structural feature.

Launched during the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2017, Progetti Sense focuses on tactile experience through the use of aniline leather and technical fabrics.

Bedtime story

The “Design Democratico Italiano” project by PerDormire featured six beds based on the world of fables, designed by Fabio Novembre
Data Pubblicazione: 30 November 2017

What is conducive to a good night’s sleep?

This is the question that has led to the creations of Fabio Novembre for PerDormire.

The answer came in a natural way: a good story.

So Novembre has taken a dreamy approach to stories in the design of six beds for the first collection of the project Design Democratico italiano of the Tuscan brand, which belongs to Materassificio Montalese, a reference point in the production of mattresses and bed systems.

The Castello, Principessa, Regina, Abito, Luna and Nuvola beds tell little stories, simple references to enchanted worlds. Each model can be chosen in a more or less explicit version, depending on the type of client.

With the collection Una Fiaba PerDormire created by Fabio Novembre, PerDormire officially launches Design Democratico Italiano, a project 100% Made in Italy that sets out to make products that provide functional quality and high-end design at affordable prices.

A Corian temple

An Indian temple renovated by the designer P.J. Singh, who has chosen Corian® as a key feature of the restyling
Data Pubblicazione: 30 November 2017

A Sikh temple in the city of Tuto Mazara, Punjab State, has been renovated and expanded. With the aim of experimenting with new techniques and materials, the designer P.J. Singh  decided to use the Corian®  solid surface for the cladding of the internal walls, combined with natural stone – Agra Red sandstone – engraved and inlaid with mother-of-pearl.

Since the temple is a busy place every day, it was important to find a material that would be easy to clean, with technical and aesthetic qualities that would last in time. Because the ceremonies involve chanting, excellent acoustic performance was also a must. Corian® turned out to be the perfect solution.

The project for the temple in Tuto Mazara features the use of about 900 square meters of Corian® in the Glacier White color.

The solid surface for the interior walls has floral engraving.

Alpilegno technology for the renovation of a rural structure in Trentino
Data Pubblicazione: 30 November 2017

The building on two levels blends perfectly with the surrounding landscape, combining an appealing image with outstanding energy efficiency.

The use of natural materials is the leitmotif of the entire renovation project done by Loris Cellana, the owner of Alpilegno.

The structure is made with spruce matchboarding stained gray like the shutters. The entrance door reflects the style of the traditional constructions of the zone.

The master bedroom has a striking ceiling with exposed beams and a large panoramic window across the whole facade, formed by special frames that can be fixed or open, inserted in the roof trusses.

All the doors and the internal staircase are in antique-finish spruce with natural varnish, for an intimate, welcoming atmosphere.

To reduce energy consumption while ensuring optimal comfort even in the winter months, the Clima 92 thermal-seal frames with vanishing hinges have been installed, in a two-tone finish: wood effect on the inside, pale walnut on the outside.
