In Hong Kong ‘Italy Makes a Difference’

BoDWBusiness of Design Week in Hong Kong is an annual event organized by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) since 2002. An entire week in the month of December, during which the Asian metropolis welcomes outstanding personalities of international creativity, especially in the fields of design and architecture. The focus of the projects, in the spirit of the initiative, is on design innovation and the relationship between creativity and business.

The 2017 edition that opens on 4 December will have Italy as its protagonist, ten years after the first edition on our country in 2007. The title is significant: Italy makes a difference. Business of Design Week 2017 sets out to explore the world of Italian creativity with high-profile speakers who narrate projects, insights and achievements.

Like Massimiliano & Doriana Fuksas, at the helm of Studio Fuksas, one of the world’s most famous, having done over 600 projects in Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Australia, including the international airport of Shenzhen and the new National Archives of France; or Marco Balich, head of the agency that created the spectacular ceremonies of the Olympics in Rio, and the Tree of Life at Expo Milano 2015.

The guests also include Michele De Lucchi, Mario Cucinella, Paola Navone, Alberto Meda with his son Francesco, Odoardo Fioravanti, Jacopo Foggini, Mario Trimarchi. Gilda Bojardi, editor of Interni, will also speak, illustrating the birth of the FuoriSalone phenomenon in Milan, and the project of the major exhibition Interni House in Motion slated for April 2018.
