Already sold out four months before it opens, the 50th edition of Marmomacc is the most important international fair on marble, granite, production technologies, design and training, held in Verona from 30 September to 3 October, at the same time as Abitare il Tempo, the fair focusing on interior design and materials.
The events were presented at the Milan Triennale in a press conference moderated by the journalist Valentina Tosoni, with the participation of the president and general director of Veronafiere Ettore Riello and Giovanni Mantovani, along with Luciano Galimberti, president of ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, the designer Raffaello Galiotto and the architect Italo Rota, art director of the “Padiglione Vino – A Taste of Italy” at Expo 2015, curated by Veronafiere–Vinitaly with Mipaaf, where natural stones have been utilized from twenty regions of Italy.
Marmomacc constitutes a true global network of support for companies, operating on consolidated and emerging markets throughout the year, with a calendar of events organized in the United States, Brazil, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Morocco and Egypt.
In its foreign mission, Marmomacc can rely on important institutional partners like Simest and Sace, as well as Confindustria Marmomacchine, Informa Exhibitions and the Centro Servizi per il Marmo of Volargne, guide of the Marble and Stones District of the Veneto.
One of the strong points of the fair lies in the choice of also being an international center of university training and professional updating, through the encounters of the Stone Academy.
From 30 September to 3 October, Abitare il Tempo, the fair organized by Veronafiere for the interior design and contract sectors, will offer an overview of the best in interior design and materials. The show is oriented towards the world of furnishings, custom design and contract. A place to underline the know-how of small and medium design companies, crafts workshops and niche-oriented production companies.
