The jury's motivations

To explain the awarding of the Prize to Bekhbaatar Enkhtur, the jury wrote: «Enkhtur's manipulation of ephemeral and everyday materials constructs a unique mythological narrative, we read in the prize motivation, evoking visions of a past life as if extracted from the depths of collective memory. Enkhtur's work not only demonstrates sculptural finesse, but invites viewers to enter an intimate universe, where history and cultural heritage are reimagined."
