Like every year, RFK organized a gala evening in the name of the defense of human rights and the education of the young generations. Guest of honor: Kerry Kennedy

Always committed to the defense of human rights and the education of young generations, the The Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italia Associationhas once again organized the traditional charity gala this year, entitled for the occasion: BeTheHope.

A claim that is also an exhortation, a wish and a stimulus, which invited (and invites, daily) each of the participants to be hope themselves. Among important institutions and names, a guest of honor also took part in the evening: Kerry Kennedy, seventh daughter of Senator Robert Francis Kennedy and honorary president of RFK Italia .

During the event, which took place last November 8, 2023, the Association chaired by Stefano Lucchini awarded the "Robert F. Kennedy Award Human Rights Italia 2023” to the Fondazione Ernesto Pellegrini ONLUS for its daily commitment in providing support to those who find themselves in a situation of temporary economic and social difficulty in the Giambellino district of Milan, the Fondazione Quartieri Spagnoli for an experimental project to regenerate the functions and destination of the former Montecalvario Institute, in which it initiated the training of some groups of young people and women towards self-entrepreneurship experiences, the Italian State Railways for the socially inclusive initiatives aimed at encouraging the professional training of people in marginalized conditions and contributing to the reintegration of prisoners into the civil and social fabric, Gucci for the commitment to gender equality , attention to diversity, the promotion of human rights in the company and in the supply chain.

The guests listened to the results and upcoming commitments of the organisation, active since 2007 in the field of human rights education, civic education and advocacy with a social-work inclusion program for migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and people in a state of vulnerability.

During the event, a charity auction was held conducted by Cristiano De Lorenzo, director of Christie's, to raise funds for the activities of the association.

“In such a difficult international moment we wanted to recall hope in the title of our traditional event, a concept that has always inspired our activity. The association's commitment is in fact aimed, with the help of many friends in Italy and around the world, at offering concrete support also through the defense of human rights – commented Stefano Lucchini , President of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italy – This year's winners best represent corporate and social realities which, through their meritorious work, act to provide new perspectives and opportunities in difficult contexts".
