From 26 to 29 September, Pietrasanta transforms into a stage for design and creativity, with installations and talks that explore the world of design and architecture

Versilia welcomes for the third consecutive year the Design Week-end, an event by Studio Coronel, which brings excellent design to the evocative spaces of the Complesso di Sant'Agostino in Pietrasanta.

From 26 to 29 September, the central theme will be the "distinctive trait", an invitation for companies and designers to discuss new trends, their cultural background and their ability to respond to the requests of clients.

This unique approach, which brings artistic production into dialogue with industrial production, is perfectly reflected in the various installations and exhibitions.

Among the most anticipated events of this edition, the unpublished collaboration between Giulio Cappellini and Giulio Iacchetti stands out.

In the Ex-Church of Sant'Agostino, the duo presents "Abitare alla marinara", a reinterpretation of the maritime lifestyle of Versilia, through four thematic islands dedicated to relaxation, sport, food and play, with the addition of a fifth island reserved for the new outdoor collection designed by Iacchetti for Ezio Foppa Pedretti.

The talk that will see them as protagonists on Saturday 28 September promises to be a moment of great inspiration for enthusiasts and professionals in the sector.

Art, as per tradition of the Design Week-end, merges with design: in the Cloister of Sant'Agostino, the photographic exhibition “Inside Artist” by max&douglas offers an intimate look at the ateliers of famous artists, while Pilar Saltini dialogues with Kartell products through her polychrome canvases. The installations by GBPA Architects and Dixpari further enrich the path, making the experience multisensorial and evocative.

The exterior of the Sant'Agostino Complex becomes the stage for an open-air work: in the Piazza del Duomo, Silvia Ghirelli and Giuseppe Tortato Architetti design a green installation for Kindof, while the Giardino della Lumaca is transformed into an open-air lounge thanks to the collaboration with FIM/CORO.

Pietrasanta’s Design Weekend is not limited to urban spaces, but extends to the sea, animating a historic beach resort in Forte dei Marmi. Here, outdoor furniture meets Versilia tradition, while the marble tournament, personalized with the faces of the designers, promises to be one of the most entertaining moments of the entire event.

The event ends on Sunday with the talk “The Source Code”, dedicated to the future of design, and with the second edition of the sailing regatta sailingCAD, an exclusive competition for architects and designers.

This year's edition, thanks to the presence of partners such as ADI and Altagamma, confirms itself as a high-level event, in which culture, creativity and networking come together to offer a unique and engaging experience.
