At the Triennale, the first conference of the Italian Association of Design Historians. The first day of the conference is for the work of the commissions, while the second day is for development of the reports. The fourcommissions will cover: the theme of training (of design historians and students); the problem of design museums; the history and meaning of relationships between design and industry; the languages of visual communciation and design. Each commission will present, on 2 December, a report on its findings, with the goal of organizing conferences on each of the four themes over the next two years. For each commission two coordinators have prepared a reference text for the works, for publication in the future. The second day also features talks by some of the most outstanding Italian scholars, to assess the present situation of design history studies in Italy, also in relation to what is happening in other countries. www.aisdesign.it.
