The prize created and organized by Fondazione Henraux, thanks to its president Paolo Carli, sets out to honor – through cultural and scientific projects – the tradition of working with marble in different areas of sculpture and design, architecture and decoration.

The prize is open to young sculptors no more than 45 years old, who can register using the guidelines published at the website of Fondazione Henraux (www.fondazionehenraux.it). The deadline for registration and submission of the project to be made is 15 March 2016.

The final act of the process will take place at the Foundation headquarters in Querceta (LU) in July 2016. The prize is the only one in the world for marble sculpture, and relies on the cooperation of the Accademia dell’Altissimo and a jury composed of leading names in the world of art, architecture and design, chaired by the art critic Philippe Daverio.

Thanks to a precious, unique material, the artists who reach the final phase will be able to complete their projects with the most noble and precious of stones, the white marble of Monte Altissimo. The young talents will be the protagonists of the final exhibition at the Foundation headquarters, and will take part in multiple cultural and exhibition activities the Foundation promotes in Italy and abroad.
