The preliminary project has been presented for the first work in Italy by Bernard Tschumi Architects, commissioned by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ascoli Piceno and the Municipality of Grottammare. Anima is a cultural center to be built at Grottammare, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, to gather and host the widest range of expressions of culture of the territory, including art, food and environmental culture. Besides taking an original approach to the theme and the internal layout, Tschumi’s project reworks the idea of the facade, wavering between the figurative and the abstract, to create a strong identity. With the presentation of the preliminary project the team of professionals coordinated by Alfonso Giancottibegins the development of the next levels of the Anima design, with constructed slated to begin in early 2014, for completion by the end of 2016.
