Artemideis included in the design collection of the Farnesina, which gathers together the best in Italian creativity and entrepreneurial capacity. For the first time, this collection will emerge from the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to be shown at the Museum of the Ara Pacis. The chosen lamp is the Copernico hanging model, designed by Carlotta De Bevilacquaand Paolo Dell’Elce. This is a fixture composed of nine concentric, mobile ellipses made from a single sheet of anodized aluminium, supporting a circuit of 384 white LEDs. The ellipses rotate independently on two axes, permitting orientation of the light and the creation of different spatial configurations. When closed, the Copernico hanging lamp looks completely flat.
