Palazzo Reale hosts ArtLine Milano. 30 projects for the Contemporary Art Park, an exhibition of the projects created for the park of CityLife by artists invited to take part in a competition for talents under 40, organized by the City of Milan in collaboration with the steering committee of ArtLine Milano.
30 works (drawings, sketches, models, renderings, photographs and videos) to accompany the birth of the Contemporary Art Park of Milan, located in the CityLife district, illustrating the project conceived for this new outdoor urban art space.
The project is organized as an exhibition itinerary that brings out all the potential of contemporary art, for a wide overview of the identity of public art today.
The curators of the ArtLine Milano project Sara Dolfi Agostini and Roberto Pinto invited 30 artists (15 Italians and 15 foreigners) under 40, all with extensive experience, to create site-specific art projects to insert in the new urban context of CityLife.
A jury composed of internationally renowned personalities will select 8 winners from the 30 projects, whose works will become a permanent part of the Contemporary Art Park of Milan.
The will form the ArtLine itinerary, to be made starting in April 2016, when the first work will be installed. The others will follow, forming a permanent exhibition completely integrated with the works of architecture by Zaha Hadid, Arata Isozaki and Daniel Libeskind and the natural evolution of the park of CityLife, designed by the studio Gustafson Porter.
