The 9th Autostyle Design Competition is now underway, the international car design event organized by Barman, a company specializing in the production of auto parts and accessories. Each year, contributions are submitted by design academies, automakers and technicians from all over the world. The 2012 edition has a very interesting new focus for young designers from international schools: to take part in the design of a Popemobile for reduced emissions. The Libreria Editrice Vaticana will publish the best projects in a special book. The works will be judged by a jury composed of well-known designers and technicians of international auto manufacturers. The Benedictine Abbey of San Benedetto Po (Mantua) will host the prize ceremony of the competition, at the beginning of October. It will also be possible to visit an exhibition of the projects for the new Popemobile.
