The design company has won its tenth Good Design Award, this time thanks to an architectural project of great institutional importance. The prize is for the new corporate showroom designed by Mauro Lipparini.By reworking a former industrial production plant of Bonaldo, the design subdivides the 6000 m2 of the complex on two levels: on the ground floor, the display area and a convivial zone, while the upper level contains offices, meeting rooms and the corporate museum. The two floors are connected by a lighted staircase that is the most striking architectural feature. The outer surface is entirely clad in glass blocks, using pieces made exclusively for Bonaldo, of great thickness with an undulated surface, in the non-standard size of 30 x 30 cm. Each piece has a mirror finish inside to capture light, making the whole facade reflect brightness in a very irregular way. www.bonaldo.it.
