The exhibition dedicated to outdoor design Bam Open Air Design will be staged from 11 to 14 May in the flowery meadows of the Biblioteca degli Alberi in Milan

Entirely dedicated to the world of design and outdoor architecture, BAM Open Air Design is a project created by Coima Image, in collaboration with the Riccardo Catella Foundation.

From 11 to 14 May 2022 the review will be staged in a scenario of exception: between the flowering meadows and the circular forests of Biblioteca degli Alberi in the innovative district of Porta Nuova in Milan.

What is BAM Open Air Design

The event, part of the cultural program of BAM 2022, was born from the vision of Alida Catella to give back to the city of Milan an event that wants to witness the epochal change we are experiencing and which sees the future of each of us in regeneration, sustainability and beauty.

The companies involved

The second edition confirms the participation of 9 leading companies in the sector - Artemide, De Castelli, Florim , Janus et Cie, Lualdi, Poltrona Frau, Riva1920, Roda, Sesia&Co. with Boffi | DePadova - that enhance an iconic piece of their collections by displaying it within a white circle placed in the park. The installations thus interact in an unprecedented way with the surrounding space and with the public, creating a sort of museum of widespread design among the trees of BAM that celebrates the combination nature-culture with its over 200 events in 2022.

Contamination and networking

Like the last edition, there will be numerous collateral activities to encourage the contamination between design, art, cinema and music, through bucolic and informal talks with special guests and for encourage networking moments with architecture firms, developers, operators and the sector press.

Workshop

BAM Open Air Design also boasts the academic contribution of Domus Academy , with which a workshop in Advanced Design and Processes was launched. The projects created by the students will be exhibited at the next edition of the exhibition dedicated to the outdoor.
