The project Elishout Kitchen Tower Campus Coovi by Xaveer de Geyter Architects was the winner, from over 864 submitted projects. The International Grand Prize for Architecture BigMat '13 (30,000 euros) went to this innovative Belgian structure built in Anderlecht (Brussels). The project is a vertical tower containing a cooking school. The jury praised the design for its formal simplicity and sculptural force, its new idea of circulation and its excellent results in terms of construction. In the Italian section (5000 euros) the winning work was the Via Padovani Housing project in Imola, by Lelli & AssociatiArchitettura of Faenza.
