[gallery ids="15576"]Official presentation at Ca’ dei Carraresi (Treviso), on 23 May, of BioCasa_82, the first private residence in Europe to have obtained, as a case study, the prestigious highest level of LEED for Homes certification, the equivalent of LEED PLATINUM, and also the first in Italy to have privately conducted carbon footprint analysis, calculating the CO2 released into the environment over time, with levels 60% below the average of traditional buildings. The event will begin with a conference entitled “Strategies for Wellness in Buildings,” a chance to discuss the situation in the real estate/architecture sector in a moment in which the housing production chain is looking for suitable tools to create new market demand, generated by the desire to own a home that nurtures wellbeing and offers maximum comfort in terms of temperature, odors, visuals, acoustics and psychology. The conference will be followed by the opening of the photography exhibition “BioCasa_82” by Marco Zanta, a gallery of images of architecture enhanced by an itinerary that explains the ethical and technological choices that have led to the completion of such an important project. The show will remain on view until the 1st of June. The architectural and interior design of BioCasa_82 are by the architect Rosario Picciotto, who has studied every detail to promote wellness and to make the spaces as “natural” as possible. Welldom of Giovanni Fabris, a philosopher of the concept of ideal living, has supervised the construction, engineering and the study of materials, with a tailor-made holistic approach that makes BioCasa_82 achieve unprecedented levels of wellbeing and sustainability. With 117 points out of a maximum of 136, with respect to the American protocol LEED Platinum, and 10 out of 11 for the parameter on innovation in design & engineering, the project has the highest values in Europe precisely for the design aspects that stand out for their characteristics of innovation and application of practices of sustainability and comfort in the construction of buildings. Exclusively certified ecological materials have been used, all recyclable and obtained locally whenever possible: solid wood with PEFC or FSC certification, plaster with natural silicates, stone flooring in Zovonite trachyte from the Zovon quarries of Padua, concrete from Bigolino of Valdobbiadene.
