The Japanese architect Junya Ishigami is the winner of the 5th edition of the BSI Swiss Architectural Award.

The prize ceremony was also the moment of the opening of the BSI Swiss Architectural Award 2016 exhibition, curated by Nicola Navone, featuring the works submitted for the 5th edition of the award. The show will be on view until 23 October at the gallery of the Architecture Academy of Mendrisio.

The exhibition documents the works of the 28 candidates from 17 countries, with particular focus on the works of the winner. As usual, the show will be accompanied by a monograph published by Mendrisio Academy Press and Silvana Editoriale in Italian and English.
