During Mercanteinfiera an exhibition will be held on Gio Ponti, from the private collection of Lorenzo Ciompi. 120 after the birth of the great Milanese architect, for the first time design fans can see a collection of furnishing objects by the master, from important contemporary homes published in recent years in the most prestigious international shelter magazines. The goal of the exhibition is to demonstrate, through a collection of Ponti’s furnishings, including desks, armchairs, tables, wardrobes, sofas and consoles created, in some cases, over 90 years ago, the continuing appeal of these cult objects for contemporary decors. Over fifty pieces have been selected from important private collections, creations made from the 1930s to the 1970s.
