Cersaie 2021: a preview of what we will see at the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings from 27 September to 1 October

With over 600 exhibitors and all 15 BolognaFiere pavilions committed, even more excitement is expected for Cersaie 2021. The forced break due to Covid 19 has, as in every sector of our daily life, amplified the desire for novelty, comparison and contamination of ideas. In addition to the exhibiting companies, the upcoming edition is also characterized by an interesting schedule of events in which dialogue is its founding fulcrum, including exhibitions and special initiatives.

As in previous years, the traditional Lectio Magistralis held by one of the winners of the Pritzker Prize is maintained this year: the Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, will speak to the audience on Friday 1 October 2021 at 11.00 at the Palazzo dei Congressi of BolognaFiere.

It will be five days full of ideas. An opportunity to find and re-find yourself. And, so that you can not get lost and have a guideline between previews and presentations, we have selected some interesting exhibitors/news for you. Here is our top ten.

Marazzi and the contemporary interpretation of marble

The company presents the new product Mystone Travertino at Cersaie 2021, a contemporary interpretation of marble. In fact, Marazzi proposes the surface with a precise presence of veins and imperfections typical of marble, thanks to the Sublim Sync digital printing; softness to the touch and slip resistance thanks to the innovative functionality of the StepWise patent and resistance and durability performance due to High Performance technology. Furthermore, at Cersaie 2021, the company presents two unexpected releases, curated by Alessandro Pasinelli Studio, for the new Villa and Hub Marazzi 2021: there, where ceramics are the key to interpreting the new ways of living.

Lea Ceramiche and the author's eclecticism

The company presents at Cersaie 2021 Masterpiece, the new Lea Ceramiche collection designed by the architect Ferruccio Laviani. Masterpiece par excellence highlights the eclecticism of an environment, thanks to the modularity and the combination of finite elements in terms of material and color, but capable of developing infinite combinations. The collection stems from two essential elements, two types of surfaces: Master, inspired by concrete, and Piece, inspired by seminato, which can be combined with each other, or lived separately. It is available in different finishes.

Flaminia and Elena Salmistraro's exuberant fantasy

The company presents the new collection of SPIRE countertop washbasins, designed by Elena Salmistraro. Round or oval, their plastic shape emphasizes the beauty of the ceramic. antoniolupi's reflections and transparencies

Antoniolupi introduces two new elements to the Borghi collection, a countertop washbasin and a freestanding bathtub, both in Cristalmood - the antoniolupi resin characterized by intriguing colored reflections and transparencies. In the photo, the first bathtub designed by Laura Fiaschi and Gabriele Pardi of Gumdesign. Characterized by essential lines, thin edges and generous volumes, Borghi is a freestanding bathtub that is both impressive and light at the same time. The heart of the project is in the narrowest base. A detail that creates a feeling of suspension in space.

Casalgrande Padana and love for the land

Nature is the new collection of ceramic slabs by Casalgrande Padana, which is inspired by the tradition of the earth with its welcoming materials and tones. Suitable for interiors but also for the outdoors, it is available in two versions, honed or natural, and in different sizes. The possibility of using different shapes of slabs side by side is stimulating, creating mosaic effect compositions that interrupt the linearity of the surface. Among the new ones introduced, the wall effect and some particular porcelain stoneware decorations.

Rak Ceramics and Patrick Norguet

Rak Ceramics brings the RAK-Valet collection to Cersaie 2021, the new complete bathroom project that arises from the encounter between the creative genius of Patrick Norguet and the production quality of the Brand.

The collection consists of functional elements, available in Matt (opaque) and Glossy (glossy) finishes, which become real "valets", extending the everyday objects of well-being on functional levels and stylistic solutions of great effect: decorative shapes with profiles thin for the washbasins, great stylistic research for the bathtub and the lines of the extendable sanitary ware.

An event that overcomes all distances and breaks down all constraints to offer an unforgettable experience to those who can physically visit the fair and the company headquarters, but also to distant customers who cannot reach it. Florim's Cersaie 2021 is “Unconfined”. The project of the large Magnum Oversize slabs expands with new collections that reinterpret the most precious natural materials on the ceramic surface.
