The fair restarts on 27 September (until 1 October) with all 15 pavilions set up

The world of design celebrates the return of trade fairs. In presence, complete with stands, collections and exhibitors in flesh and blood. In the case of Cersaie, the (good) news is at least two: not only the 2021 edition of the first international fair for ceramics and bathroom furnishings will be held regularly, but for the opening, at the Bologna Fair, on the next 27 September, all the spaces of the fifteen planned pavilions will be set up, as Emilio Mussini, vice president of Confindustria Ceramica tells with great satisfaction.

Moreover, the encouraging signs had already arrived in unsuspected times: last February, the confidence of exhibitors and the drive of companies to turn the page before the new pandemic surge had already found important confirmations. Seven months after the opening of the stands, the area already optioned by the companies was in the order of 80 percent of the spaces allocated at Cersaie 2019. "A filling percentage which, also in light of the origin of the membership applications, he was already looking forward to broad international participation. A confirmation of the attractiveness of Cersaie and of the quality in the relationship with the exhibitors, consolidated with a work that has never stopped, not even during these difficult months "explains Mussini.

Times have lent a hand, given that the opening of the fair coincides with the time when all Italians and Europeans, at least according to official forecasts, should have completed the first vaccination cycle and therefore have the green pass to travel. The 2021 edition confirms the international vocation of the event, with 40 percent of foreign exhibitors and a high-level cultural program in which lectio magistrali and exhibitions on initiatives carried out by Pritzker Prizes are announced.

Among the most relevant aspects of the edition, the Contract Hall is undoubtedly one, which marks Cersaie's great attention to the world of design and relations with the contract. It is a space with the shape of a letter C, which symbolically refers not only to contract, but also to the concepts of connection and concreteness. This space contains at the Archincontract center, a square of two thousand square meters dedicated to design in the various areas of real estate, with the presence of ten architectural firms of international value (Archea, Archilinea, Caberlon Caroppi, Iosa Ghini, Lombardini22, NOA Network of Architecture, One Works, Pininfarina Architecture, Studio Bizzarro and Partners and THDP). Around these studios, in an ideal international location, there will be the exhibition spaces assigned to companies active in the field of kitchens, interior and exterior finishes, lighting engineering and home automation, outdoor and wellness, a fundamental complement to ceramic and bathroom furniture products for all real estate projects.

All guests of the Contract Hall, an exhibition event with a similar setting to MilleLuci, which received the Honorable Mention at the latest Compasso D'Oro, will also be able to admire the Spa in Outdoor concept, created by the ten studios. A topical issue, particularly felt by that part of the contract world that operates in the redevelopment of accommodation and hospitality facilities.

The return in attendance does not mean missing the appointment, now taken for granted, with digital, on the contrary: the novelty of this thirty-eighth edition will in fact be Cersaie Digital, online for three weeks from 20 September to 8 October. "A way to strengthen the traditional exhibition by grasping all the potential of information technology, the dematerialization of information and events and global extension, in terms of interpersonal skills to consolidate Cersaie's role, standing and prestige".
