Invisible Mediterraneans

The Biennale project stems from Invisible Mediterranean research, an exploration that began in 2018. which arises from a series of considerations.

Mediterranean is a word used to define different situations, realities, thoughts and imaginaries: it is sea, holidays, sun, history, geography, story, migrants, islands, Iliad, Odyssey, politics, theater ...

However, there is a common feature throughout the Mediterranean: the geomorphological tern of water. The sea and its coastline, the watershed between rivers and streams at their origin that develops along the ridge lines and resurgence waters, river beds, streams and the corresponding plain lines.

The three lines of water

Mediterranean water intersects architecture and landscape design, storytelling and art, conditions and governs all social and economic models. The three lines of water can be assumed as the lowest common denominator of a contemporary reflection , updated to climate issues.
