Chromophobia comes from dialogue and contamination between architecture, art and design, addressing the theme of the monochrome in three settings – white, black and red – juxtaposing textile design creations by Faye Toogood, Daniele Lora and Parisotto+Formenton made with crafts techniques by cc-tapis, along with specimens of tribal art from central Gabon and a selection of works by Herbert Hamak, David Simpson, Luigi Carboni, Claudio Parmeggiani, Marcello Jori, Arthur Duff and Mats Bergquist.
Chromophobia, curated by Aldo Parisotto in collaboration with the art galleries Studio La Città, Galleria de Foscherari and Galleria Africa Curio, has been installed in the cc-tapis space, a neutral architectural box featuring rigorous use of materials and textures.
