The cultural commitment of Dornbracht, the German firm that is an international reference point in the field of production of high-quality design faucets and accessories for the bath and kitchen, continues with an exhibition by the artist Tomás Saraceno. For the first time, about twenty enormous organic sculptures by the Argentine artist, already shown in the world’s most important museums, are gathered in an impressive installation at the historic hall of the Hamburger Bahnhof museum of contemporary art. Astrophysics, spider webs, visionary utopias: these are jus some of the sources of inspiration of Tomás Saraceno for his ‘biospheres’, large bubbles that float in space, actively engaging visitors in a three-dimensional experience, breaking down traditional concepts of space, time and gravity. The exhibition, open until 15 January 2012, is part of the Dornbracht Installation Projects, a series of initiatives the company has promoted for several years as an expression of its thinking and corporate philosophy, based on inspiration, dialogue and innovation.
