Centre Pompidou presents Mutations/Créations: a new event that looks to the future and the interaction between digital technology and creativity, a territory shared by art, innovation and science.

Drawing on different disciplines in a mixture of research, art and engineering, the first edition of this annual event is on music, design and architecture.

The project also includes a solo show on the designer Ross Lovegrove, featuring his most important works inspired by nature and its processes of evolution.

The partners of the project include Artemide and Moroso.

The collaboration between Ross Lovegrove and Artemide began in 2007, leading to a long path of research on materials and production based on the designer’s organic, biomorphic approach: 10 years of projects, all the way to the latest Solar Tree 2nd Generation presented at Euroluce 2017.

Convergence also includes the innovative light works Chlorophilia, Florensis, New Nature, Cosmic Angel, Cosmic Leaf and Cosmic Landscape.

The show also retraces the relationship between the designer and Moroso, with important projects that aptly illustrate the main aspects of the Lovegrove’s philosophy: a global vision of design that originates in the evolutionary processes of nature.

The latest results of this collaboration are the sculptural Spine Chair, and the Monolith Supernatural and Diatom seats.
