After having designed a number of shops on an international level for the footwear brand Manolo Blahnik, London-based Data Nature Associates applies its design creativity to a new store for the brand on Tretyakov Square in Moscow, interpreting traditional Russian motifs in a fascinating contemporary way. This architectural tribute is made with ebony-color facings combined with the delicacy of Russian white lace, recreated in panels of DuPont™ Corian®. The DuPont™ Corian® panels create a delicate, feminine effect, almost a fairytale setting. Created with laser CNC laser cutting technology, the panels frame the main entrance door and are arranged along the 15 meters of the entrance walkway, adding a touch of mystery thanks to the ’carved lace’ effect.
