The Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland, in collaboration with the Centraal Museum of Utrecht,

presents a large solo show by Craigie Horsfield, a British artist who has conducted extraordinary research since the 1980s on the nature of the photographic image.

His works focus on portraits, still lifes and moments of everyday life, popular rituals and traditions, represented with innovative techniques that tend to blur the boundaries between various artistic disciplines.

Photography is just one of the many aspects of his work: starting with a negative, or a film frame, Horsfield produces large works made with surprising techniques, including tapestries and frescos.
