Five young women photographers narrate their homeland, Ethiopia, exploring the theme of distance. These are the ingredients of Distance, curated by Marco Milan.
Produced in collaboration with Addis Foto Fest, the first international photography festival in Ethiopia, now at its fourth edition in Addis Abeba from 15 to 20 December 2016, founded and directed by the Ethiopian photographer Aida Muluneh.
Muluneh and Milan have invited five young Ethiopian photographers to take part in Addis Abeba, creating original images and projects: Haymanot Honelegn Assefa (1993), Hilina Mekonen Tesfaw (1988), Maheder Haileselassie Tadese (1990), Netsanet Fekadu (1988) and Luna Solomon (1993).
The images, together with video interviews with the artists, will be shown in Venice at Fondaco Sant’Angelo (15 December 2016 – 8 January 2017).
