Stone Italianais the winner of the SetteGreen Awardin the Inventions section, for the innovative material DNA Urbano, a sheet made by recycling the soil collected during the cleaning of streets. DNA Urbano by Stone Italiana took the prize in this first edition, organized by the magazine published by RCSwith an eye on ecosustainability. Made in collaboration with CEM ambiente(the public agency that handles the collection, transport and disposal of solid urban refuse, active in 49 municipalities in Lombardy) and the engineers Arturo and Filippo Montanelli, DNA Urbano by Stone Italiana is an innovative material for indoor and outdoor floors and pavements. The main component of the sheets is the soil collected by sweeping streets, the grit that accumulates on sidewalks, which can be converted to become raw material, saving energy, recycling waste and cutting down on disposal costs.
