The summer academy of design and architecture located in southwestern France, between Limoges and Poitiers, directed by Alexander Von Vegesack, co-founder of the Vitra Design Museum in Germany, has organized since 1995 workshops with designer, architects and artists from all over the world, attracting about 450 students of different nationalities every summer. The old country estate is also the location of art and design exhibitions, and contains an architecture park. The program for summer 2013 includes over 30 workshops in a vast range of sectors, conducted by personalities from the world of design and other fields, like Oliviero Toscani, Patricia Urquiola, Maarten Baas, DesignMarketo, Tomás Alonso, Benjamin Hubert, Pierre Favresse, Agosto de los Reyes, Jordi Enrich Jorba, Shin Azumi, Pedrita, Snarkitecture, Paolo Haigh, Noé Duchafour-Lawrance, Freitag, Sandra Piesik , Zuzunaga, Amina Agueznay, Mischer'Traxler, GroenlandBasel, Marcelo Rosenbaum, Ionna Vautrin, Marie Piet, Maria Blaisse, Katja Gruijters, Alice Twemlow, Anna Heringer, Tomas Kral, Daniel Michalik, Andrew Ondrejcak, Michael Flury, Peter Marigold, Matteo Zorzenoni, Sigga Heimis, Ron Gilad and Nikolay Polissky.
