At PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea di Milano (via Palestro 14), the first solo show in an Italian museum of the work of Elad Lassry (1977, Tel Aviv, lives and works in Los Angeles), curated by Alessandro Rabottini. The exhibition, promoted and produced by the City of Milan– Department of Culture, Fashion and Design, and by PAC, is the largest overview to date of the work of this Israeli artist, known to the Italian audience for his participation at the last Venice Biennial. Lassry’s work stands out for his reflections on the plethora of images in today’s society, and on the possibility of redefining known visual codes and habits of interpretation. The show includes wall-mounted works, four films, new sculptures and an installation that combines photography, sculpture and architecture, specially made for the occasion. www.comune.milano.it/pac.
