Cersaie 2023: who are the exhibitors

Cersaie 2023 is sold out, occupying all the exhibition spaces: 15 pavilions, for a total area of 145,000 square meters, around 5,000 more than in 2022.

There are 625 exhibitors from 25 countries, with 39 percent from abroad, of which 57 percent from ceramic companies and 15 percent from bathroom furniture manufacturers.

Sixty-two publishing houses, including the editorial staff of INTERNI, with the participation of over 30 international journalists from the Ceramics of Italy / ICE-Agency delegation.

The inaugural conference and the international press conference

The Cersaie 2023 program begins on 25 September, at 11, with the inaugural conference in Sala Europe.

The traditional Ceramics of Italy international press conference will follow at 6 pm in the Sala Italia of the Palazzo dei Congressi of Bologna Fiere, moderated by Andrea Serri, communication manager of Cersaie and Confindustria Ceramica, with the speakers Armando Cafiero, director of Confindustria Ceramica, Emilio Mussini, vice president of Confindustria Ceramica, and Cristina Faedi, trend setter; in the second part of the conference, the Ceramics of Italy Journalism Awards will be awarded to the most deserving foreign journalists who have written about the event and ceramics.

On 26 September, at 6 pm, in the ex GAM hall of the Palazzo dei Congressi, the Confindustria Ceramica Distributor Awards will be awarded to the best retailers in Italy, Germany, France and Poland, an event that will culminate with the cooking show by starred chef Luca Marchini.

Route 40: a journey through four decades of innovations

To relive the 40 years of evolution of bathroom furnishings and ceramics, the appointment is at Cersaie with Route 40, an exhibition itinerary that talks about the products, companies and innovations that characterize these four decades, emphasizing the great changes that have taken place in the cultural, social, design and production fields.

Curated by Davide Vercelli and set up by Dario Curatolo, Route 40 will wind its way through Cersaie starting from the Quadriportico - the presentation and conceptual connection point of the story - to continue in Gallery 21-22, 25-26 and in the Mall of Pavilion 37 > with graphics, video walls, images, products, personalities and companies that narrate each decade.

Not a nostalgic exercise, but a journey that looks from the past to the future, towards the new evolutions and applications of the ceramic product.

The conference of the Chinese designer Xu Tiantian

Every year Cersaie hosts internationally renowned architects, within the framework of Building, living, thinking, the program dedicated to design now in its fourteenth edition.

The star of this year is Xu Tiantian, born in 1975, founder of the DnA Design and Architecture studio in Beijing.

The Chinese designer will hold her masterful conference on September 27 at 11 am at the Palazzo dei Congressi on the theme of revitalization of the Chinese countryside.

A design practice, that of Xu Tiantian, which becomes social planning to enhance the agricultural life of villages and contribute to the integration of communities. All the conferences in the cultural program give the right to professional training credits for architects, and from this year also for surveyors, with a credit that can already be obtained by visiting the fair.

Press cafes

There are 18 events scheduled at the Cafè della press, 45-minute conversations between the directors of newspapers, including INTERNI, and famous architects and designers. This year's theme is architectural space.

The new location should be noted: the mall in pavilions 29 and 30, near the North entrance of Bologna Fiere. The meetings will take place in presence and will also be available in live streaming on www.cersaie.it and on the websites of the publishing houses.

One of the events most loved by the general public: Cersaie draws your home, now in its eleventh edition, the free consulting service aimed at those who want or are about to renovate or buy a house. The event will be held on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 September in the mall in pavilions 29 and 30.
