New families, just formed, others with plenty of experience, those of traditon… or surprising families. For all of them, and many others, the new competition held by Hotpoint-Aristoninvolves an exceptional partner: Steve McCurry, the photoreporter who has been an attentive, scrupulous witness to human affairs all over the planet. The project European Family Portraitinvites all the families of Italy, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Rumania, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, UK, Holland, Spain and Portugal to participate. The idea is to make a portrait of one’s family, in any moment, any place, that becomes special thanks to the personal ties between the family members. Participants can upload their photos, with a title, at the website http://family.hotpoint.eu. Registerd users can also vote for their favorite picture, and the 100images with the most votes from each country will reach phase 2 of the competition. A jury composed of 5 photography expert bloggers will select the top ten for each country. Out of this selection, one picture will be chosen by Steve McCurry. The winners will have the experience of a professional portrait to immortalize their family.This exclusive shoot will take place during the course of a trip to New York, during the magical holiday season. There will also be a prize drawing for the voters, to win a home appliance from the Hotpoint-Ariston collection.
